A 17-year-old high school student in Howard County has been charged with raping a fellow student at Wilde Lake High School.
Police say DeShawn Jones will be charged as an adult after raping a 14-year-old girl at the school, according to WBAL-TV.
The girl alleges that Jones approached her in the hallway on Monday and asked her to cut school with him. She said they then walked around the school until Jones pulled her into an empty room, blocked her exit, and and wouldn’t let her leave.
The victim said Jones then held her down and raped her even though she told him to stop. The girl later notified a parent, who called police.
Detectives arrested Jones at school this afternoon.
