Have you always wanted to be an Orioles ball boy or ball girl? This could be your big shot.
The club will be holding an open tryout at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The Orioles are looking for athletic men and women, 18 or older, for the 2013 season. Participants should dress casually and bring their own baseball gloves, according to Parkville Patch.
The team also requests that ball boys and ball girls be “personable, customer-service oriented and available to work the entire 2013 season,” in addition to being able to field a few ground balls.
Applicants will be judged by MASN broadcaster Jim Hunter, former Orioles catcher Chris Hoiles, Mix 106.5 radio personality Reagan Warfield, and Lite 101.9 personality Greg Carpenter.
Free parking will be available on Saturday at Lot A outside the ballpark. Participants should enter via Home Plate Plaza and should bring their resumes.
Orioles spring training officially begins on Monday, February 11, as pitchers and catchers report to the team’s training complex in Sarasota, Florida.
