The Seattle Mariners have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with former Orioles lefty Joe Saunders. The contract is said to be worth between $5-7 million, with an option in 2014, according to USA Today Sports.
The deal is pending the results of a physical.
Saunders was a major contributor in the Baltimore Orioles’ playoff run last season after he had been traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 26th.
Over seven starts last season, Saunders notched a 3.63 ERA and allowed just two earned runs over 11 1/3 innings in two postseason starts.
He recorded the win in the O’s biggest game of the season, the AL wild-card game in which they defeated the Texas Rangers.
