A mentally ill woman has been found guilty of killing another patient in her bed at the Clifton T. Perkins State Hospital.
A jury in Howard County found El Soundani Elwahhabi guily.
Elwahhabi used a string to strangle Susan Sachs back in 2010.
Defense attorneys in the case argued that the brutal act was all part of a murder-suicide pact the two patients had previously made, but prosecutors argued that the murder was deliberate.
Elwahhabi first went on trial in 2012, but the jury in that trial was unable to reach a verdict.
