Prosecutors in Washington County are seeking a 50-year prison sentence for a man who was featured on the popular America’s Most Wanted program after fleeing from child pornography charges in Maryland.
On Monday, Robert Mulkern, 46, pleaded guilty to manufacturing child porn, sex abuse of a minor and third-degree sex offense.
Mulkern had a relationship with a 15-year-old girl he met in 2009 after she was placed in a Hagerstown foster home. Mulkern lived in the basement of that home.
Investigators eventually found a camera containing photographs of the girl having sexual intercourse with Mulkern and another man.
Mulkern failed to appear for his trial back in September 2010.
He was finally arrested in November 2012 in Vermont after being featured on the FOX show America’s Most Wanted.
