On Thursday, North Korea vowed to launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike aimed at the U.S. in response to potential new United Nations sanctions against Pyongyang for its recent nuke test.
An unidentified spokesman for Pyongyang’s Foreign Ministry said NKorea would exercise its right for “a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors” because America is pushing to start a nuclear war against the North.
Although North Korea often rattles its saber with regard to nuclear bombs and pre-emptive strikes, the country isn’t believed to have mastered the ability to manufacture a warhead tiny enough to place on a missile capable of reaching the U.S.
It is believed to have enough nuclear fuel, though, for several crude nuclear devices.
