A firefighter was hurt while battling a blaze in Harford County on Saturday night.
Fire crews were called to a house fire in the 1700 block of Harbinger Trail in Edgewood just after 8 p.m. EST.
When crews arrived on scene, both floors of the two-story residence were on fire and there were reports of a person trapped inside.
It was later determined, however, that that person was safe and sound at a neighbor’s home.
An 18-year-old firefighter from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company sustained burns to his upper body and and was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center where he was later treated and released.
Another firefighter from the Abingdon Fire Company became ill at the scene of the fire and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The cause of the Edgewood fire is under investigation at this hour.
