Sting Operation Seven Arrested in Internet Sex Sting OperationPolice in Anne Arundel County charged seven people on Monday in connection with an undercover online prostitution sting.

Detectives conducted the probe in the Linthicum-area hotel district on March 5, focusing on users trying to solicit sexual services from prostitutes on the web.

Undercover detectives posing as escorts made contact with and charged seven people who tried to solicit sexual services in exchange for money.

The following people were charged on a criminal summons, police said:

  • Garry Whitaker, 52, of Baltimore, charged with one count prostitution general.
  • Shaunak Dineshchandra Shah, 38, of Laurel, charged with one count prostitution general.
  • Eugene Robert Rice, 30, of Baltimore, charged with one count prostitution general.
  • Peredo Alvaro, Rodrigo, 43, of Burke, Va., charged with one count prostitution general.
  • Randal Arden Capshaw, 47, of Centerville, charged with one count prostitution general and one count resisting arrest.
  • Yonas Tesfaye, 51, of Ellicott City, was charged with one count prostitution general.
  • Jahmel George O’Riley, 25, of Gwynn Oak, was charged with one count prostitution general, one count possession of marijuana and one count possession of CDS paraphernalia.
