We all know that the police can pull you over for speeding, but did you know they can also pull you over for going too slow?
Usually, officers only resort to this tactic when the offender is driving so slowly that they present a danger to other motorists.
A Silver Spring woman, though, says she was pulled over by a Maryland State Trooper for going 2 mph below the posted speed limit in the left (fast) lane.
The driver said she was pulled over on I-95 on Friday for doing 63 mph in a 65 mph zone.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said she felt that it was necessary to slow down due to high winds.
The police maintain that slower drivers need to stay to the right to allow faster traffic to pass on the left.
The traffic ticket was thrown out in court on Wednesday.
