Authorities may finally be able to close the book on a 2012 nail salon shooting in Howard County, as the suspect turned himself in to police on Friday.
Tuan Minh Pham, 35, had been wanted in the July 2012 double shooting of his estranged girlfriend and her friend in a nail salon in Ellicott City.
The 8-month-long manhunt is over, and Pham has been charged with two counts of first and second degree attempted murder, two counts of first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and several gun charges.
Police say Pham visited went to the Nail and Hair Care Spa on Richards Valley Road, where his estranged girlfriend Lan Phan worked, and saw Phuong Thanh Do, a friend of Phan’s, waiting for her outside.
Pham and Do began to fight, and authorities believe Pham shot Do multiple times. Pham then went into the nail salon and shot Phan.
Both victims managed to survive the shooting.
Police have not yet determined where Pham has been hiding for the past eight months.
