A body that had been discovered along the Kent Island shoreline on Saturday has been confirmed to be that of Robin Pope, the woman from Queen Anne’s County who went missing three weeks ago.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified Pope’s body via dental records, according to the Maryland State Police.

Doctors are still working to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

When the body was first found on Saturday afternoon, it seemed to match the height and weight of Robin Pope, but it had not yet been positively identified.

Pope’s body was discovered from three tenths of a mile from her husband’s home in Stevensville.

She was first reported missing on March 2, 2013.
