Man arrested for attempted armed robbery at Glen Burnie IHOP

Robbery Man arrested for attempted armed robbery at Glen Burnie IHOPA suspect is in custody after trying to rob a man at an IHOP restaurant in Glen Burnie.

Shortly after 5 p.m. ET on Monday, officers responded to the IHOP in the 7100 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for a report of an armed subject with a gun.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 36-year-old male victim who said the suspect entered the restaurant and demanded money from him in the men’s restroom area while implying that he was armed.

The victim was able to flee from the suspect and call police.

Detectives located and arrested the suspect, 20-year-old Leroy Carl Boffen, at his residence on
Norwich Road.

He has been charged with attempted armed robbery and other criminal charges.
