Officials in Baltimore had to cancel outdoor premieres of Kanye West‘s new music video due to the fact that the organizers of the events did not obtain permits from the city.
The events had been set for 10 p.m. ET at three locations around town: the Bromo-Seltzer Arts Tower, the Walters Art Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
West has been projecting the new video for his single “New Slaves” onto walls in public venues in several cities.
Baltimore Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says the events had to be canceled because they had the potential to draw large crowds of people and the organizers failed to secure permits.
