On Monday, Maryland Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown officially announced that Howard County executive Ken Ulman would be his running mate in the coming gubernatorial election.
Brown made the announcement in Columbia.
According to his official website, at the age of 32, Ulman was the youngest County Executive ever elected in the state of Maryland.
He also had the distinct honor of being one of the first babies delivered at Howard County General Hospital.
Ulman obtained his bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland – College Park and earned his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Ulman had also himself considered running for governor in 2014.
Among the opponents Brown is expected to face in the Democratic primary are Attorney General Doug Gansler, Montgomery County Delegate Heather Mizeur and Congressman Dutch Rupersberger.
