The driver of the truck that was hit by a CSX train last week, leading to a derailment and massive explosion in Rosedale, has been released from the hospital.
A spokesperson for Shock Trauma said that John Alban Jr. was released on June 2nd.
The derailment and ensuing explosion damaged several local business and created a plume of thick smoke that could be seen for miles.
Federal authorities are now investigating the incident.
The portion of track that was affected by the incident has since been reopened.
