The National Transportation Safety Board on Wednesday issued a preliminary report on last month’s fiery train crash in Rosedale that sent one person to the hospital and damaged several local businesses.
The report says that the stop sign at the Rosedale crossing was upside-down and facing away from the roadway.
A trash truck failed to stop at the crossing at the end of last month and was hit by a CSX train.
The crash led to a massive explosion which could be felt and heard from miles away.
John Alban Jr., the driver of the truck, suffered serious injuries in the crash.
