Trial Gavel Verdict Ex president of Prince Georges County FOP pleads guilty to theft chargesAuthorities in Prince George’s Count say the former president of the Deputy Sheriff’s Association FOP Lodge has pleaded guilty to stealing in excess of $9,000 from the organization.

On Friday, the State Prosecutor’s Office said that Wendy Tyler, 46, of Stevensville, pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft.

She was sentenced to probation before judgment and was also ordered to pay restitution.

Tyler was elected president of the FOP lodge in 2005.

She allegedly obtained and deposited into her own bank account more stipend checks from the FOP than she was legally entitled to, according to prosecutors.
