 Cake shop, residences damaged by gunfire in AnnapolisAnne Arundel County police say an Annapolis cake shop and two residences were damaged by gunfire on Friday night, but fortunately no one was injured.

At around 11:30 p.m. ET, officers responded to the 1800 block of Saint Margaret’s Road for a report of shots fired.

The gunfire damaged the window of the Cakes and Confections Gourmet Bakery.

A witness at the scene said they thought the gunfire came from a passing vehicle.

Approximately 15 minutes later, police responded to the 1600 block of Saint Margaret’s Road, where two windows of a residence were damaged by gunfire.

One of the bullets passed through a bedroom and became lodged in an interior wall. The bedroom was occupied at the time of the shooting.

Officers also found bullet holes in a neighbor’s garage window.

The investigation is ongoing.
