At about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, Baltimore County police were in the 1100 block of Ingleside Avenue when they heard gunshots coming from the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store there.
Officers then saw a man firing a handgun in the direction of two other men in the parking lot.
As police approached, the suspect threw down the gun and tried to flee the scene on foot.
Officers quickly detained the suspect.
One victim was struck multiple times and suffered wounds to his lower body. The victim, identified as 21-year-old Gerard Hankins, was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The suspect has been identified as Dominic R. Dillard, 25, of Gwynn Oak.
Dillard was denied bail after being charged with two counts each of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and one count of use of a firearm in a crime of violence.
Dillard is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
