Health department officials reported that they were notified of the incident on Tuesday morning.
There was reportedly an aggressive raccoon situated near Northside Park that attacked one individual and charged toward two others.
The raccoon was later captured and euthanized.
The incident is part of a long sting of rabies-related events in Worcester County that is affecting local wildlife.
The animals most often confirmed with rabies in the region include raccoons, foxes, skunks, cats and groundhogs.
