Tyshawn Francis 16 year old Tyshawn Francis charged with murder in Middle River stabbingPolice in Baltimore County have charged 16-year-old Tyshawn Francis with first-degree murder in connection with Thursday afternoon’s fatal stabbing in Middle River.

At about 12:15 p.m. ET, officers responded to the area of Pawnee Road after multiple 911 calls were received for a group of juveniles fighting.

When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from at least one stab wound at Pawnee Road and Taos Court.

The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was later identified as 19-year-old Anthony Theodore Whiting Jr.

Patrol units, K-9 squads and at least one helicopter canvassed the area and the suspect was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

Francis has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
