Authorities say a total of 20 people were shot over the weekend.

Eight of those people died from their injuries.

On Friday, Andre Witherspoon was shot and killed along Ducatel Street near North Avenue in the city.

Over 100 people showed up at a vigil on Sunday night at the scene of the crime.

In another violent incident, a woman died in a multiple shooting on Kenwood Avenue on Saturday morning in East Baltimore.

A male and a female were killed Saturday night in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania avenue in West Baltimore.

An hour later, another murder took place in East Baltimore along Greenmount Avenue near 26th street.

Early on Sunday morning, a male victim died in a shooting near West Belvedere Avenue at St. Charles Avenue in northwest Baltimore.

There was another shooting on Bennett Place Sunday night near Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Franklin Street. That victim did not survive.

On Monday morning, the Baltimore Police Department tweeted that another two people were critically injured in the 800 block of Whitmore Avenue overnight. They added that another adult male was injured in an overnight shooting in the 4700 block of Alhambra Avenue.
