Officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to the scene of a wreck at Route 450 near Hallmark Drive in Gambrills.
Investigators said a Honda Accord was heading east on Route 450 when the driver lost control and crossed the double yellow center line into the path of a Mazda.
The driver of the Honda, 34-year-old Daniel James Pfarr, suffered life-threatening injures and was taken to Shock Trauma.
The driver of the Mazda suffered minor injures and the passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both persons are 17 years of age.
Officials say speed may have been a factor in the crash.
