Anderson is said to be a high-ranking member of the notorious Black Guerilla Family gang. He has managed to evade capture for over a year.
In a news release issued on Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals office stated that investigators from Baltimore “worked tirelessly to track the movements and whereabouts of Anderson, who had a complex criminal network supporting him” and was “known to be armed at all times with at least two firearms.”
“They surrounded the location where Anderson was hiding and waited for him to poke his head out,” the statement continues. “Once positively identified, the arrest team swept in and arrested him.”
Police say a woman was involved in some type of dispute with another woman on June 27 and summoned Anderson to her location, instructing him to “do what y’all do.”
Anderson then opened fire on a porch, killing 20-year-old Gennie Shird and injuring two other females.
