Capone Chase Capone Chase now Baltimores new Public Enemy No. 1On Monday, police in Baltimore City dubbed Capone Chase its new “Public Enemy No. 1.”

Authorities say that Chase, a member of the Black Guerilla Family gang, is suspected in the shooting death of 21-year-old Ramon Rodriguez on July 13th at a Greektown playground.

Late that night, officers responded to Gough Street and Lehigh Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Major William Davis, southeastern district commander, said at a Monday press conference that Chase’s killing of Rodriguez was a “vicious” attack.

Police say Chase lured Ramon Rodriguez to the 4600 block of Gough Street so he could kill him.

The nature of the crime, including its location (a playground used by children and families), is why Chase is now being called “Public Enemy No. 1.”
