U.S. Naval Academy students are preparing to take the stand in a hearing to determine if three of their fellow midshipmen will face court-martial in a sexual assault case.
The hearing will continue on Monday.
On Sunday night, a Navy investigator was cross-examined by three defense teams at the Washington Navy Yard.
Special Agent Jesus Torres says the case is one of the most intensive in which he has even participated.
At issue is the case of a female midshipman was allegedly sexually assaulted at an off-campus party in April of last year in Annapolis.
She has testified that she doesn’t directly remember having sexual intercourse with the men after a night of heavy partying.
She finished her testimony on Sunday. The Article 32 hearing began Tuesday.
