Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and a number of his human and canine friends will celebrate the official start of construction on the Perry Paw Dog Park being developed at Honeygo Regional Park in Perry Hall.
The new dog park will be a $205,000 improvement to Honeygo Regional Park.
The dog park will include a .34-acre area for small dogs and a 1.06-acre area for larger breeds.
It will feature a key card entry system for members, doggie water fountains and other canine-friendly amenities.
The park will be operated by the Perry Paw Dog Park Committee, who will set the operating rules and regulations, coordinate paid membership and oversee the daily operations of the park.
The group raised $20,000 in funds to contribute toward construction of the dog park.
The official construction kickoff ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 17, at 11:30 a.m. ET at Honeygo Regional Park, 9033 Honeygo Blvd., Perry Hall, MD. 21128.
