Those events include the Navy football game, the Annapolis Boat Show, the Maryland Renaissance Festival and several motorcycle events in the area to benefit the Toys for Tots organization and the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend event.
Heavy traffic is expected throughout the Annapolis area all weekend due to these major events.
Saturday peak times are between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. ET.
Some of the affected roads include I-97, Route 50, West Street, Rowe Boulevard, Aris T. Allen Blvd, Ritchie Highway, Solomons Island Road, Riva Road, Route 32, Route 100 and Defense Highway.
– Navy Football plays Air Force at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in front of a sold out crowd. Expect periodic road closures on roads around the stadium before and after the game.
– The Power Boat Show is in Annapolis all weekend. Parking on Saturday is at 2644 Riva Road (Board of Education lot). Shuttle buses will take you to the show.

Anyone traveling to any of these events, or through the Annapolis area, should leave early and drive with patience.
