At about 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Anne Arundel County fire crews responded to the 1200 block of Hilltop Road.

At the scene, flames were seen shooting from the roof of the dwelling, according to firefighters.

Firefighters finally had the blaze under control by about 2 p.m.

A juvenile who was in the home at the time of the fire managed to escape safely.

One firefighter was taken to University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials are now trying to determine what caused the blaze.
