CARNEY – On Friday, elected officials joined representatives from Continental Realty Corporation in celebrating the renovation of the Carney Village Shopping Center, located at the corner of Joppa Road and Harford Road in Carney.
The seven-month, $2 million project gave a facelift to one of the oldest shopping centers in northeastern Baltimore County.
Elected officials present for the event included Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, County Councilmembers Todd Huff and David Marks, and Delegates John Cluster and Joseph Boteler.
Staff for Senator Kathy Klausmeier also attended.
“One of my earliest memories was visiting the Mars Supermarket when our family lived on Alverda Avenue in Carney,” commented Councilman David Marks. “This shopping center is a landmark in the Carney area, and I am very happy it has been beautified and improved.”
