In response to complaints that part of Honeygo Park is not easily accessible to older and disabled visitors, the Baltimore County Department of Recreation Parks has installed a new asphalt pathway from the main sidewalk loop to the turf field.
Construction of the pathway was finished before Thanksgiving.
County Councilman David Marks requested the pathway after numerous requests from park visitors, including senior citizens who otherwise had to walk down hilly terrain.
“Councilman Marks has really helped our recreation councils,” commented volunteer Tim Bonner, who also worked with Marks to get the fields at Honeygo Park “skinned” for future use.
Additionally, three new county parks are scheduled for construction in the Perry Hall area over the next year.
