HANOVER – A Littlestown, Pa. man was arrested on Friday morning after attempting to bring a loaded gun on a flight from BWI-Marshall Airport to Tennessee, according to authorities.
The man was stopped by Transportation Security Administration employees after they spotted the weapon in the man’s carry-on via the airport’s X-ray machine.
Maryland Transportation Authority Police were called to the scene and officers quickly confiscated the loaded 380-caliber Ruger and arrested the man weapons charges.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, had a ticket to fly to Nashville.
Security workers at BWI screen about 32,000 passengers per day, according to the TSA.
