CARNEY; 12:09 p.m. ET – The Baltimore County Department of Public Works will install “Deer Crossing” signage at a dangerous area of Northwind Road between Carney and Perry Hall, County Councilman David Marks announced on Wednesday.
After Councilman Marks received complaints about deer hits in this area, he requested an investigation by the Department of Public Works.
The investigation revealed 12 reported deer hits over the past five years along that stretch of roadway.
To alert motorists about the hazard, the county will install “Deer Crossing” signs between 3200 and 3400 Northwind Road.
“I would like to thank the county for erecting this signage, which will be a gentle reminder that there are deer in the wooded area north of Northwind Road,” Councilman Marks commented.
